Amplifiers rated for 8 ohm minimum loads are generally not suitable and may even suffer damage if used. We recommend using a power amplifier rated in the range of watts per channel into 4 ohms. Higher power amplifiers can be used with caution, but care must be taken to never exceed the 20/20 monitor’s W program/W peak ratings.
