Excel 2007 reverts to manual calculation






















 · Excel keeps changing to Manual Calculation. Hi guys, Here's a weird thing: Yesterday, sometime between about , apparently my Excel changed itself from Auto Calculation to Manual. I didn't do anything that should have made anything change and had been using the spreadsheet I was working in several times through the day with no problem.  · It will only be set to Manual if (1) you have changed the default workbook to one that has the calculation mode set to Manual; (2) if there is some sort of AutoOpen macro that sets the calculation mode; (3) if you have some automatically loading workbooks (XLSX or XLTX, including the Personal workbook) that have calculation set to Manual; or (4) if you start Excel by double-clicking, . The Calculation Option keeps switching from Auto to Manual and since we don't see it, we have bogus data. This doesn't happen all the time so i'm guessing it is .

If you are opening Excel and you know the last saved workbook was in Automatic calculation mode, you may want to look at your add-ins, to see if any are in manual calculation mode. A place to start looking would be the ThisWorkbook module of those add-ins. This spreadsheet is created monthgly from a template, then used continously for teh month. A few weeks ago, I was delighted to have a new XP.
